CHG Healthcare is North America's largest locum tenens staffing company, connecting healthcare providers with the facilities that need them most. Our Data & AI team of 60+ professionals powers the analytics, data engineering, and AI capabilities that drive CHG's business forward across divisions including CompHealth, Weatherby Healthcare, and Modio Health.

We're looking for a curious, analytically minded undergraduate to join our Data & Analytics team for the summer. You'll work alongside data analysts, data engineers, and AI practitioners on real business problems - not busywork. This is a hands-on role where your contributions will be visible and your curiosity will be rewarded.

Responsibilities

  • Support analysts in building and maintaining dashboards and reporting in tools like Metabase and Streamlit
  • Assist with data exploration and analysis using SQL and Python against our Snowflake data warehouse
  • Help document data definitions, KPIs, and metric logic as part of our Semantic Layer initiative
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and team stand-ups within an agile delivery model
  • Contribute to at least one defined analytics or AI project with a clear deliverable by end of summer
  • Collaborate across teams, including Data Engineering, AI & Automation, and business stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (junior or senior standing preferred)

  • Hands-on experience with SQL - you're comfortable writing queries and know your way around a relational dataset

  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis (pandas, numpy) is a strong plus

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or similar) is helpful

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail - you ask good questions and follow the data

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; you can explain findings to a non-technical audience

  • Self-starter mindset: you don't wait to be told what to do next

Preferred

  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar)
  • Familiarity with dbt or data modeling concepts
  • Interest in AI, machine learning, or large language models
  • Experience working in an agile or sprint-based environment
