About the job
We are looking for an experienced wireless technician for our DAS team to perform installs across the area. If you are a Radio Frequency Technician who is proficient at design, implementation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of RF systems, including public safety radio, DAS, and ERCES we would like for you to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform annual inspections and routine maintenance of DAS and ERRCS systems
  • Follow standard RF troubleshooting procedures to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Utilize service monitors and other RF tools to diagnose and maintain system performance
  • Accurately document work orders, maintenance tasks, and inspection results
  • Maintain and operate various RF equipment, including radios, antennas, and signal analyzers
  • Troubleshoot complex RF systems using advanced diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure systems meet FCC and local jurisdiction compliance standards
  • Perform wireless communications system programming, per industry practices and vendor criteria
  • Performs the installation of radio and wireless mobile and base communications systems per industry practices and vendor criteria
  • Analyze and comprehend diagnostic test results and use to repair and program radios and wireless equipment
  • Perform required diagnostic and analytical tests to diagnose and repair wireless communication equipment
  • DAS installation in both carrier and public safety spaces

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in RF systems, DAS, and ERRCS maintenance is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex RF troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with RF testing and diagnostic tools, including service monitors and spectrum analyzers
  • Understanding of RF fundamentals and best practices
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) is preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel locally to client sites for maintenance and inspections
  • NICET (IB-PSC) a plus

Requirements
  • A Valid Driver's License and a clean record is required
  • General electrical background a must
  • Punctual, verbal communication skills, task-oriented, detail-oriented, adaptable, neatness, desire to continuously learn, work well in a team
  • FCC General Operator - Radio License
  • General knowledge in wiring schematics (bench repair)
  • Proficient in all test equipment
  • Comfortable in self-directed environment
  • Strong character and direct and honest communication
  • Willingness to travel
  • Knowledge of Telecommunications Industry desired but NOT required
  • Cabling or construction experience a plus
  • Experience with BDA, DAS and/or ERRCS a plus
  • OSHA 10, CPR, First Aid is a plus
