Job Title:Inside Sales Coordinator

Department:Components Sales Group - Novi

Reports To:Sr. Sales Manager

FLSA Status:Exempt

Summary

The Inside Sales Coordinator is responsible for managing customer RFQs, analyzing customer requirements, preparing accurate quotations, and coordinating pricing and delivery information for SWS component products. This position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, data accuracy, and excellent communication abilities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following list represents major duties and responsibilities of this position.  It is by no means all-inclusive.  Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

  • Directly responsible for processing company quotations based on customer RFQs and emails in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work in a team environment communicating as required with all personnel
  • Identify key relationships for all customer RFQ
  • Communicate and coordinate with customer accounts related with RFQ
  • Prepare price calculation to team prior to quotation submitted to customer
  • Assist Customer Service team and Sales team with sales forecasting
  • Assist and support with New Program Launches in setting up new part numbers in systems, quoting prototypes and production part numbers
  • Support New Program Launches
  • Daily communication with Tier sales and OEM account managers regarding RFQ and related components of quoting
  • Work closely with appropriate internal departments to ensure prompt service is provided to customers, plus ensure accounts pricing accuracy by checking pricing frequently
  • Perform other duties, as required to support the Sales team
QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  Ability to possess and execute strong attention to detail in order to evaluate customer accounts with accuracy.  Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required.  Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers is required.  Strong analytical and organization skills required, along with computer skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

A Bachelors’ degree and one to three years of related automotive experience preferred.  Direct experience working with EDI systems, release management, and web-based supply chain management systems is not necessary but a plus, along with general knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to analyze and interpret a variety of data, variables and instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form, to formulate business proposals in areas of responsibilities, is required to perform the essential functions of this position

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

High-level proficiency to read, analyze, and interpret professional and technical business data and resource materials, write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, suppliers and other business contacts.  Strong negotiation skills are also required.

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and competencies. Base pay is one part of the total compensation as well as a strong benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
