Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to lead teams of credit risk professionals in addressing our client's credit risk mitigation needs. Engagements will encompass a broad range of credit risk-related matters and may include the following: credit risk review or loan review work, credit administration and policy review, quality assurance/ internal audits of loan review departments, and other credit risk specific engagements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver Expertise:Provide deep subject-matter knowledge in credit risk mitigation, credit policies, and procedures across a variety of engagements.
  • Drive Excellence:Oversee credit risk reviews, loan reviews, internal audits, and policy assessments with precision and strategic insight.
  • Client Engagement:Communicate industry trends and best practices effectively to clients, offering actionable recommendations and thought leadership.
  • Practice Development:Contribute to internal initiatives including talent development, business growth, and service innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a commercial credit analyst, credit officer, loan review officer, commercial portfolio manager, or a related credit risk role within a bank or regulatory agency
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CRC, CFA)
  • Willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs
  • Experience with presenting and effectively communicating observations to senior stakeholders, committees and /or other team members
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication, leadership and analytical skills
  • Exemplary client service skills
  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple lending industries or deep specialization in one (including, but not limited to: asset based lending, agriculture, hospitality, healthcare, energy)

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience in commercial real estate underwriting or regulatory credit review for community, regional, national, or foreign banking organizations
  • Familiarity with SBA lending, construction lending, agricultural lending, syndicated loans, shared national credits, or leveraged transactions
  • Comprehensive understanding of credit lifecycle processes: origination, servicing, and review
  • Proven ability to develop credit policies, risk rating methodologies, and perform stress testing
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state banking regulations related to credit risk
  • Prior consulting experience or progressive leadership roles with supervisory responsibilities
  • Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision and provide leadership to a team
  • Ability to exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintained profitability targets.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $101,000 - $203,000

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
