About This Role 
Textron Systems is seeking new and recent graduates to join our Sea Systems business area to develop solutions in support of our unmanned surface vehicles programs. Current focal areas include autonomous control, advanced payload integration, vision systems, and other emerging technologies to enhance our unmanned surface vehicle platforms' capabilities. 

Your day may include designing, simulating, constructing, and field-testing autonomous surface vehicles and their subsystems. Our goal is to deliver disruptive autonomy technologies that enhance our customers' mission capabilitiesWe workon applied research and development initiatives as well as established programs, and leverage diversity of thought to improve Textron Systems' lines of robotic products.

  • Providing engineering support on both next generation technologies and proven platforms that support and protect our deployed warfighter 

  • Participating in software development of new products across all phases of the design lifecycle from concept development to lab integration and evaluation concepts 

  • Opportunities that range from embedded control systems to operator interfaces, and to mobile device applications 

  • Working cohesively on a multi-functional team with exciting technologies and products 

 

Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing bachelor's degree in computer science/computer engineering/CIS/MIS or related field 

  • C/C , C#, Python, and/or Java programming 

  • Ability to work 40 hours/week over the course of a summer on a combination 5/8, 4/10 schedule, with every other Friday off! 

  • This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance
