Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)


We're looking for a sharp, experienced Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to take the lead in protecting our most sensitive programs. In this role, you'll implement and oversee SCI and SAP security policies, procedures, and SOPs while staying fully aligned with organizational and government requirements. You'll serve as the primary security interface for internal teams and external stakeholders-driving mission success through compliance, proactive risk mitigation, and clear, decisive guidance.


You'll have the opportunity to administer SCI and SAP security programs (including PERSEC, physical security, OPSEC, and program protection), develop and maintain effective SOPs, coordinate with senior leadership on strategic objectives, lead incident response and investigations, and provide reliable on-site support-directly enabling high-stakes mission success in a secure operational environment.


Responsibilities:


Administer SCI and SAP security policy, PERSEC, Physical Security, OPSEC, and Program Protection programs.

Develop, implement, and oversee SOPs supporting secure operational environments.

Coordinate with senior leadership to enable strategic mission objectives and program protection requirements.

Support incident response, reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.

Maintain readiness to respond onsite during after-hours/weekend emergencies within required timeframes.

Provide onsite security support. 100% On-site (with emergency response availability within 60 minutes).

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications


Active TS/SCI clearance with signed consent to complete a Polygraph

Familiarity with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs and Special Access Programs (SAP).

Knowledge of government security directives, with experience implementing and adhering to National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), ICD, and other relevant government security regulations.

Experience with using DISS, JADE, NISS, SWFT, and NBIS.
Preferred Qualifications


Prior Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO), IC Contractor Security Officer (CSO), Alternate Facility Security Officer (AFSO), or Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) experience.

Experience with ICD 705 SCIF preparation, upgrades, and accreditation.

Experience investigating security violations and preparing reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with senior level internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Demonstrated ability to articulate and present intelligent, decisive and risk-managed security recommendations and decisions.

Experience in maintaining personnel and facility clearances and protection of classified information.

Demonstrated consistent accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining a very high level of productivity.

Experience conducting security incident inquiries.

Knowledge of access controls and intrusion detection systems.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Strong interpersonal and team-building skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Self-motivated and independent: A self-starter with the ability to work independently, taking initiative to identify and address security concerns.
