SUMMARY

This position is responsible for all operational aspects of a department within an area. They oversee the installation crews as well as the administrative staff and are also responsible for scheduling and billing. Successful candidates have high capacity and are able to fluctuate between highly tactical and strategic. To be successful, a Production Manager must have a good understanding of the construction and building process, possess strong business acumen and have above average personal time management skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interview and hire staff for field and office positions.
  • Perform annual performance reviews for staff.
  • Ensure all work is scheduled and completed daily.
  • Oversee dispatch, billing, mapping, and permitting to ensure work can be completed and billed.
  • Provide assistance to accounts receivable staff as required.
  • Facilitate training for staff.
  • Meet on site with customers as required.
  • Review P&L statements monthly and prepare variance reports.
  • Participate in leadership development and management meetings monthly.
  • Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.

COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, decision making skills
  • P/L management experience preferable but not required
  • Exhibits strong organizational and development skills
  • Strong desire to develop Leadership abilities
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Management/Supervisory experience (3 to 5yrs. min.)
  • Scheduling and/or dispatch experience (1+ yrs.)
  • Strong problem-solving and organization skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve questions independently.
  • Experience in high level of customer service required.
  • The ability to prioritize, & work in a fast-paced environment, handles multiple tasks and work under time constraints.
  • Experience in electrical or construction industries very strongly preferred.

Total Estimated Compensation: $70,000 – $96,000
