Job description

Primary Duties:

A desire to drive your future, accelerate your career and build real world experience and knowledge during the internship. This position will compile and analyze financial information for the Automotive Glass Replacement division. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support sales initiatives and assess performance against targets. This includes preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Prepares consolidation, close, and Ad hoc financial reports.
  • Assist in developing reports for performance measures and indicators to understand, quantify, and communicate risks and opportunities.
  • Develop & support financial models and other analytical tools to help address business needs including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, and results analysis.
  • Support Sales Teams: Provide financial data to sales and leadership teams, to assist with the resolution of financially impactful issues
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, accounting, operations, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, to drive decisions aimed at maximizing sales and profitability.
  • Develop system tools to automate and expedite the reporting process.
  • Utilize a growth/digital mindset to execute opportunities and leverage technology to improve effectiveness
  • Prepare/disseminate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as assigned
  • Prepare/analyze service center performance monthly i.e. cost-to-serve analyses, profit & loss statements, key ratio analysis.
  • Prepare/analyze PNA and Group required monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Prepare/assist the Leadership Team and Regional GMs in ad hoc performance analysis.
  • Prepare journal entries for month-end close process
  • Perform other analyses as assigned.
  • Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business conduct and Its Values and Principles

Qualifications Required:

  • Currently pursuing a BS/BA in accounting, finance or business analytics
  • Experience in preparing journal entries
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong Computer skills, including advanced Excel and query writing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work both under direction and independently
