Position Title: Digital Marketing Operations Intern
Employment: Part-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Travel: 5 - 10%

Turning Point USA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk. The organization's mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote the principles of freedom, free markets, and limited government. Turning Point USA believes that every young person can be enlightened to true free market values. Since its founding, Turning Point USA has embarked on a mission to build the most organized, active, and powerful conservative grassroots activist network on high school and college campuses across the country. With a presence on over 3,500 campuses, Turning Point USA is the largest and fastest-growing youth organization in America.
Job Description: Turning Point USA is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Marketing Operations Intern to support our Digital Marketing team in maintaining and improving the integrity of our HubSpot CRM. In this role, you will work closely with the Marketing Manager to audit, organize, and clean up our marketing data. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience with one of the leading marketing automation platforms while directly contributing to the effectiveness of our outreach and engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit existing active and static lists, documenting recommendations to keep, archive, merge, or delete;
  • Propose a structure of new lists that should be added to support segmentation and engagement goals;
  • Clean up and archive outdated, redundant, or unused lists;
  • Inventory all existing HubSpot forms and document recommendations to keep, edit, create, or delete.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with our brand and mission;
  • Analytical mind, strong attention to detail, and comfort with structured, repetitive work;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Passion for conservative ideals and principles;
  • Intermediate proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas);
  • Knowledge of Google Drive (Google Docs, Sheets, etc.);
  • Positive and goal-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and initiative;
  • Willingness to fulfill all duties listed and any additional duties assigned;
  • Receives feedback constructively to improve performance;
  • Effectively reports updates and progress to leadership in a timely manner;
  • Demonstrates the physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 15 lbs;
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to locations as needed.

"WOW!" SKILLS:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field;
  • Prior exposure to HubSpot or another CRM/marketing automation platform (Salesforce, Mailchimp, Marketo, etc.);
  • Coursework or project experience involving data cleanup, database management, or analytics;
  • Familiarity with email marketing concepts such as segmentation, deliverability, and list hygiene;
  • Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, or comparable spreadsheet skills;
  • Previous involvement with Turning Point USA or another conservative non-profit;
  • Attendance at a previous TPUSA event.

All internships are located at TPUSA Headquarters in Phoenix, AZ. This is not a remote position. Interns are responsible for their accommodations for the entirety of the internship as well as having a reliable mode of transportation, and proof of insurance when applicable.
