Job description

Akima is searching for eager Engineer Interns to join our team for the Summer! You will be working with Pinnacle Solutions, one of our operating companies in Huntsville, AL.
We are looking for students who are willing to learn new technologies and contribute to our team. Interns will be expected to contribute to projects alongside other Pinnacle engineers, as well contribute to our STEM Capstone project to create an innovative application during their internship. No knowledge in a specific coding language is required, as we will help get you up to speed in the technologies required. Strong candidates will be proficient in at least one coding language.

Qualifications

  • Must be majoring in a Computer Science-related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude with a passion for technology and problem-solving.
  • Basic understanding of IT concepts, including hardware, software, networks, and security.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common software applications.
  • Upcoming Junior or Senior.
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.
  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to pass a background check.
