Internship Computer Vision Robotics information

What is an internship computer vision robotics?

Internship Computer Vision Robotics positions are temporary roles designed for students or early-career professionals to gain practical experience in applying computer vision techniques within robotic systems. Interns in these roles typically work on projects involving image processing, object detection, 3D vision, and integrating visual data into robotic control systems. These internships help candidates build technical skills, gain exposure to real-world robotics challenges, and often require knowledge of programming languages such as Python or C++, as well as familiarity with machine learning frameworks. They are commonly offered by research labs, tech companies, and robotics startups.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an internship computer vision robotics?

To thrive in an Internship Computer Vision Robotics role, you typically need a solid background in computer science, mathematics, and robotics, often supported by coursework or projects in machine learning and image processing. Familiarity with programming languages like Python or C++, and experience using tools such as OpenCV, ROS, and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow or PyTorch) are commonly required. Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and effective communication skills set candidates apart in multidisciplinary environments. These skills are essential for developing innovative solutions and collaborating on complex robotics projects.

What types of projects and technologies will I typically work on during an internship in computer vision robotics?

As an intern in computer vision robotics, you will often work on hands-on projects involving tasks like object detection, image segmentation, sensor data processing, or robotic navigation. You may use programming languages like Python or C++, and frameworks such as OpenCV, ROS (Robot Operating System), and TensorFlow or PyTorch for machine learning components. Interns collaborate closely with engineers and researchers, participating in code reviews, testing algorithms on real or simulated robots, and troubleshooting system integration. This role offers exposure to both software development and hardware interaction, providing a comprehensive experience in robotics and computer vision.

What is the difference between Internship Computer Vision Robotics vs Internship Machine Learning?

AspectInternship Computer Vision RoboticsInternship Machine Learning

Sales and Solutions Engineer

Job description

Rapyuta Robotics, an ETH Zurich spinoff, operates with the goal of making robots more accessible to anyone in the logistics industry. Rapyuta Robotics seeks individuals who believe that collaboration leads to more effective and sustainable outcomes and are fearless in challenging limits — whether within themselves or in their surroundings — to make a dent in the universe.

As a Sales and Solutions Engineer, you will own deals end to end — from the first customer conversation to data-driven solution design, to proposal development, to close — working both directly with customers and alongside our channel and integration partners. You will dig into a prospect's operation, model what an automated solution looks like for them, and deliver customer value, helping grow our U.S. commercial team as we scale Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and Pick-Assist Autonomous Mobile Robots (PA-AMR) across distribution and fulfillment operations.

This is a cross-functional role for people who are equally comfortable in front of a customer, across the table from a partner, and inside a spreadsheet. It's a high-ownership, ground-floor seat, where you'll touch the entire commercial process early, build and own partner relationships that drive real revenue, and grow as quickly as you demonstrate you're ready.

We welcome ambitious recent graduates and exceptional early-career professionals who are eager to take on meaningful responsibility from day one. If you're excited by robotics, logistics, and solving complex operational challenges, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Sales Ownership — Own assigned accounts and opportunities across the full sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through solutioning, proposal, and close; maintain a clean, accurate pipeline and forecast.
  • Discovery & Solution Design — Run discovery on customer operations (order profiles, SKU data, throughput requirements, and process flow) and build solution models in Excel (storage sizing, throughput and labor analysis, and ROI cases), working closely with the data & analytics and solution enablement squads in India to translate them into clear, customer-facing proposals.
  • Customer Engagement & Partnerships — Lead and support customer meetings, demos, and on-site visits; partner with internal engineering and product teams to scope and validate solutions; and build and manage relationships with channel and integration partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent background) in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations, or related fields.
  • Excel proficiency: comfortable working with real data sets, building models, and turning numbers into a story.
  • Strong process and systems thinking, with the ability to analyze operational workflows and identify improvement opportunities.
  • A genuine solutioning instinct: you like solving the customer's problem, not just pitching a product.
  • Outgoing and confident in front of customers: you can carry a room, a call, and follow-up.
  • Highly self-directed; thrives with ownership and ambiguity.
  • Willing and able to relocate to the Greater Chicago area and travel as needed for customer engagements and site visits.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to warehousing, distribution, fulfillment, or material-handling environments.
  • Familiarity with data tools beyond Excel (SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.).
  • Prior sales, customer-facing, or internship experience.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation depending on experience and qualifications
  • Comprehensive Health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • 401(k) Starter plan
  • Relocation assistance (if applicable)
  • Global Impact: Work at the cutting edge of robotics and AI, transforming real-world logistics operations
  • Growth Opportunities: Grow with our expanding U.S. business and take on meaningful responsibility as we scale.
