AI/BI Intern – Data Center Business Unit 

Job Summary 

Under general direction, the AI/BI Intern will support analytics, automation, and business intelligence initiatives for the Data Center Business Unit. This role will assist with data preparation, dashboard development, AI-driven workflow improvements, and reporting tasks to help drive insight and operational effectiveness across the organization.  This internship will begin Summer 2026! 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist in developing Power BI dashboards, automated reports, and AI-enhanced analytics for the Data Center BU. 
  • Support data preparation, cleansing, and validation activities for BI and AI projects. 
  • Partner with team members to identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements using AI tools. 
  • Run analytics queries and assist in generating business insights for leadership reviews. 
  • Help maintain SharePoint, project reporting repositories, and documentation. 
  • Provide general project and administrative support to the Data Center BU operations and analytics team.

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, including AI tools. 
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational skills. 

Qualifications 

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA. 
  • Completion of sophomore or junior year in college preferred. 
  • Coursework or experience in data analytics, computer science, information systems, or related fields. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Power BI preferred. 
  • Basic familiarity with Python, SQL/NoSQL databases, version control tools (e.g., Git), or AI/ML concepts is a plus.

Office environment with potential hybrid/remote work flexibility. Collaboration with crossfunctional teams across AFL’s Data Center Business Unit.
