Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead UI Developer to serve as the technical lead and primary front-end architect for our DocFinity Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform. This role is responsible for driving the design, development, modernization, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between user experience design and software engineering, leading the transition of legacy interfaces to modern React-based solutions while ensuring accessibility, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

This position requires a hands-on technical leader who can collaborate with business stakeholders, mentor development teams, and guide products through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering through deployment and support.


Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership
  • Serve as the lead UI developer and technical owner for front-end application development initiatives.
  • Architect, design, and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performing web applications using modern React.js.
  • Lead the migration of legacy user interfaces to contemporary React-based frameworks and best practices.
  • Establish and promote front-end development standards, coding guidelines, and architectural patterns.
  • Drive technical decision-making related to UI/UX implementation, accessibility, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Mentor and support developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
Application Development
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy responsive and accessible user interfaces.
  • Build reusable UI components and front-end libraries to improve development efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and enterprise data sources.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and usability across platforms and devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
User Experience & Product Ownership
  • Partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and product teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to UX strategy, interface design, workflow optimization, and usability improvements.
  • Participate in wireframing, prototyping, user research, and usability testing activities.
  • Present demonstrations of completed features and enhancements to stakeholders.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and accessibility compliance throughout development efforts.
Quality Assurance & DevOps
  • Develop and maintain automated testing strategies and frameworks.
  • Implement unit, integration, end-to-end, and visual regression testing practices.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Ensure software quality through testing, monitoring, performance analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
Accessibility & Compliance
  • Ensure applications meet accessibility standards and comply with WCAG guidelines.
  • Conduct accessibility reviews and remediation efforts as part of the development lifecycle.
  • Promote inclusive design and accessibility best practices across the team.

Required Qualifications Education

Bachelor''s degree in:

  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Software Engineering
  • Or another related technical discipline

Degree Equivalency:

  • Four (4) years of directly related work experience; or
  • Two (2) years of directly related work experience plus an Associate''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
  • Four (4) or more years of application development, systems testing, software engineering, or related experience.
  • Experience leading development efforts, mentoring team members, or driving a product/feature through the full SDLC.
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and translating requirements into technical solutions.
