Nova Southeastern University is seeking a collaborative and innovative Biostatistics Faculty member to support cutting-edge interdisciplinary research within the Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine (INIM) and the Clinical Systems Biology Group. This faculty role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside scientists, clinicians, and researchers across multiple disciplines while contributing to impactful research initiatives that improve patient care and scientific understanding.

What You’ll Do

As a Biostatistics Faculty member, you will:

  • Conduct research in biostatistics, bioinformatics, and computational biology
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams across the university
  • Develop advanced computational methods and analytical tools
  • Support biological data analysis, interpretation, and research workflows
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals
  • Present research at regional, national, and international conferences
  • Assist with maintaining computational infrastructure, databases, and data management systems
  • Teach courses within the College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Contribute to innovative scientific discovery and translational research initiatives


Qualifications

Required Education

  • Terminal Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in:
  • Biostatistics
  • Bioinformatics
  • Computational Biology
  • Quantitative Sciences
  • Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Molecular Biology
  • Or a related field


Required Experience

  • 0–2 years of research experience in biostatistics and/or bioinformatics applications


Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Expertise in biostatistical or bioinformatics analysis
  • Experience with algorithm development, programming, and software engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary scientific environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for research, innovation, and higher education
