Job Summary
We are seeking a Fitness Instructor to join a boutique gym environment. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be instructing semi private classes of no more than six clients. Your goal is to keep clients safe, educated and assist with reaching their fitness objectives. Plus, have fun while doing it! The ideal candidate is a positive, engaging teacher with a passion for fitness and a want to help people.
Responsibilities 
  • Lead semi private classes (no more than six per class).
  • Follow programming for each client. Ensure that you are able to make modifications on the spot. 
  • Encourage students to continue with their pursuit of exercising and help them make good health decisions
  • Promote programs, classes, and membership through creating a welcoming environment. 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in accordance with business policies
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Current personal trainer or fitness instructor certification
  • Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred 
  • First aid and CPR-certified
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
Internship REQUIRED:
  • Three Phases of PAID internship
  • You must advance through each level to be paid and progress to the next level 
  • Each level is concluded with staff feedback and a quiz to ensure you are learning and making progress
  • Upon completing your internship, you will be offered a position as long as you met all the requirements. 
  • You can be terminated at any time and you can leave at any time if you determine it is not the right fit for you.
