Job description

EMH&T is currently seeking a Civil Engineer (EI) to join our Commercial Site Development team located in Columbus, OH.

Our EIs work under the guidance of experienced Engineers and Project Managers who provide mentorship and support throughout your career development. Additionally, EMH&T offers a dedicated support team to train you on our drafting and design standards, ensuring you are well-prepared for success in this role.

Our Commercial Development team typically works on projects that involve commercial site development design in industries including data centers, hospitals, higher education, manufacturing, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Develop plan drawings and calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D for projects such as sanitary systems, stormwater management, and roadway design.
  • Produce base maps for plan development, generate 3D surface models, corridors, profiles, and cross-sections, as well as perform drafting tasks.

  • Ability to effectively apply technical training and problem-solving skills to current assignments.
  • A self-starter that demonstrates dependability and consistent work effort.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 0 - 4 years experience.
