Job description

Description
If you're a student looking to gain experience in Civil Engineering, consider DRMP. While classes and labs are a HUGE part of becoming an engineer, the real-world experience and hands-on application you gain through interning will solidify your decision to become an engineer and provide clarity to you path.

*Internships can last anywhere from 3 months to 24 months - depending on mutual interest and availability.
Through DRMP’s college internship opportunity, students will gain practical experience while earning an engineering degree and exploring a potential career path in Engineering. This internship supports the Stormwater team.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include
  • Assist in designing stormwater infrastructure such as detention/retention basins, storm sewers, and green infrastructure solutions.
  • Assist with site assessments and data collection for Stormwater management projects.
  • Conduct basic engineering calculations and analyses under supervision.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for stormwater projects and presentations.
  • Learn and apply regulatory requirements related to Stormwater management.

What you'll need
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors of Science degree program in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  • Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software.
