Job description

Overview

Lutron is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our collaborative team and contribute to high-impact projects. In this role, you will help design and deliver electrical driven solutions that power smart lighting and shading systems. At Lutron, your interest in electrical engineering will grow through hands-on experience, practical skill-building, and collaboration with experienced electrical engineers in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Your internship at Lutron could offer you the opportunity to work on: 

  • Designing circuits, including reliability analysis and testing

  • Developing theoretical models, simulations, and prototypes

  • Collaborating frequently with rf, mechanical, embedded, manufacturing, and supply chain engineers

  • Driving active projects in partnership with cross functional teams

  • Learning and applying newly adopted tools and technologies to enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability 

Qualifications

We seek talented, success-minded people with the desire and ability to make things happen. Our baseline requirements are simple: 

  • You are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in ElectricalEngineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering

  • Your cumulative GPA is at least 3.20

  • You are a rising junior, rising senior, or master's student at the start of the internship

  • You have broad interest in engineering, design and development

  • You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.

  • Willingness and ability to work on-site 5 days per week
