Job Description:

General Summary:

With some supervision from Vice President, ICT + Security Group or senior staff, provide design for telecommunications, LAN, CCTV, fire alarm, access control, and wireless LAN for new construction and/or renovation of industrial or commercial structures in conformance to client requirements and applicable codes.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Possess / demonstrate the engineering knowledge and understanding to design or analyze data, telecommunication, fire alarm and security systems for the design and installation, of data, telecommunications, fire alarm and security systems/networks using applicable BICSI, ANSI/TIA/EIA guidelines and NFPA -72.
  • Prepare working drawings for construction on Revit system. Provide Revit support to more senior staff.
  • Communicate and work with all other disciplines to produce coordinated construction documents.
  • Conduct field measuring and checking at project site.
  • Maintain organized project file containing project calculations, correspondence, appropriate reference materials, etc.
  • With assistance, edit project specifications.
  • Review project submittals (shop drawings) for conformance with contract documents; specify action required for conformance.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Employment Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or related field, electronic engineering, information technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years related experience in data, telecommunication, fire alarm and security engineering field.

Additional Skills:

  • Microsoft Office, emphasis on Excel and MSWord, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, BIM360 and ACC
