Culture and Belonging Internship - Full Academic Year (Fall 2026 & Spring 2027)
We are seeking a Bachelor or Master Level intern to join our team as a Culture and Belonging Intern currently pursuing their degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Communications, or a related field. This is an unpaid internship opportunity designed to provide supervised learning and professional development in a nonprofit setting.
Under the supervision of the Vice President for Culture & Belonging, the intern will learn about and support organizational efforts to foster an inclusive, engaging, and equitable workplace.
This internship provides meaningful opportunities to build skills in event planning, internal communications, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about workplace culture, community-building, and organizational learning.
As a Culture & Belonging Intern, you will:
  • Observe and assist in planning and executing Culture & Belonging employee events, including holiday and cultural celebrations, staff recognition activities, and engagement campaigns.
  • Support year-round professional development programming, including the coordination of internal workshops and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), providing logistical and communications support for ERG-led activities.
  • Assist in developing materials for internal and external communications related to Culture & Belonging initiatives, in partnership with the marketing and recruitment teams.
  • Conduct research and support strategic planning to strengthen inclusive messaging in recruitment materials and job postings.
  • Help collect feedback and participation data from events and trainings to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, training, and learning opportunities hosted by the Culture & Belonging department.
  • Contribute to a welcoming and people-centered environment that values respect, inclusion, and personal accountability.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10 - 25 hours per week
  • Full Academic Year - Fall 2026 & Spring 2027
  • Flexible around class schedule!
  • Occasional evening engagements, with advance notice and coordinated around academic commitments

Please note that this internship is unpaid.
Required Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Comfort with technology, including Microsoft Office and virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams).
  • Reliable availability for the full academic year (Fall 2026 & Spring 2027)
  • Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle

Required Experience
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in organizational culture.
  • Experience planning events, supporting trainings, or leading peer programs (academic or professional).
