You will lead projects ranging from small improvements to large capital expansions and play a key role in upgrading and modernizing existing equipment across a large aluminum rolling operation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all phases of assigned electrical engineering projects, from initial concept and scope development through written specifications, bid solicitation, detailed design, manufacturing, equipment commissioning, and project closure.
  • Lead and participate in problem-solving efforts with multidisciplinary technical staff, including maintenance and production teams, to resolve complex equipment and process issues.
  • Use PI Vision and PI DataLink to analyze process data, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations to solve process problems.

  • Collaborate closely with other engineers and technicians in a team environment to plan and execute electrical and automation projects.
  • Mentor employees, when needed, to increase their knowledge of equipment, controls, and processes.
  • Manage and support capital projects that can range from tens of thousands of dollars to multi-million-dollar investments, gaining significant capital expansion experience.
  • Ensure that all electrical engineering work complies with safety standards and supports safe, reliable plant operations.

Essential Skills
