is a substance use treatment organization offering comprehensive behavioral health programs, including medication-assisted recovery, to individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs) and co-occurring mental health conditions. With over 25 years of experience and multiple locations across the state, we provide a full continuum of care for substance use disorder, from prevention and harm reduction to treatment and recovery support. Our programs integrate FDA-approved medications for the treatment of substance use disorders, including all three medications approved to treat opioid use disorder (buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone).

We strive to meet our patients where they are, bringing care outside clinic walls via telehealth and mobile services and ensuring patients have access to harm reduction resources and education. This internship portal is not for our Metro Prep/Laureate Day Schools. There is a separate portal for that internship.

General Duties: Develop patient treatment plans and conducts continued stay review based on research, clinical experience, and patients' histories - using SAMMS assessment on computer Provide patient intakes (biopsychosocial assessment), treatment planning, case coordination, staffing, aftercare planning and discharge with individual and group therapy for a full spectrum of referral sources Interview patients, review records and confer with other professionals to evaluate individual's mental health and physical condition and to determine their suitability for participation in a specific program Review and evaluate patients' progress in relation to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans Counsel patients individually, or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, or making changes Work Schedule: Determined by Educational Institution Work Location: Dependent on Candidate Preference/Location Start Date: Determined by Educational Institution Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is a Drug Free Environment (including THC and/or CBD).
