What We Look For In a NBDHE Tutor
  • Advanced Test Mastery: Deep knowledge of NBDHE examination content covering anatomical sciences, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, dental anatomy, community dental health, patient assessment, clinical treatment, and dental hygiene process of care. Ability to explain periodontal classification, radiographic interpretation, and evidence-based dental hygiene practice while preparing dental hygiene graduates for national board certification.
  • Strategic Test-Taking & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching patient case analysis, clinical decision-making, and community dental health planning for NBDHE examination. Guides students through analyzing dental hygiene case scenarios, interpreting radiographs, selecting appropriate instrumentation, planning preventive interventions, and evaluating community dental health programs. Emphasizes connecting basic science knowledge to clinical dental hygiene applications.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with NBDHE content outline and common challenges such as case-based question format, integrating basic sciences with clinical application, and community dental health program evaluation. Adapts instruction using NBDHE practice examinations, patient case study analysis, and clinical scenario review to support dental hygiene graduates preparing for national board certification.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
