Job description

The NIE2 works on the team that supports the client's LAN/WAN infrastructure.  NIE2 monitors, tests and troubleshoots network hardware and software and help assure maximum system uptime.
 
The NIE2 participate in projects involving:
  • Cisco L3 switching.
  •  Security implementations - Cisco NG/ISE/Prime.
  • Configuring Private and Public WAN  networks.
  • MPLS.
  • BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • TCPIP addressing and design.
  • network design and implementation.
  • network monitoring.
  • end-user support.
  • direct interface with telecom service providers.

Additionally, this individual will provide support for escalated trouble tickets or direct calls from Helpdesk and other technical staff.  Working directly with team members, vendors, and technical resources, the NIE2 works with all IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of systems.

Experience required:
  • 4+ years of qualified, full-time, verifiable Network Support experience.
  • with a thorough understanding of enterprise networking, TCP/IP, network operating systems, and network software applications including.

Required Technical Skills:
  • Cisco IOS configuration commands and implementation.
  • Cisco ASA and Cisco FPR firewalls.
  • Advanced hardware troubleshooting and support.
  • Experience in the use of advanced networking tools and utilities.
  • MPLS and dynamic routing protocols.
  • Cisco hardware: Cisco Catalyst switches, Routers, and Firewalls.
  • Cisco controller-based  AP’s.

Successful candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least a CCNA certification.

Position Type: Contract  (6-month  minimum).
Salary: DOE.
Work Location: Philadelphia (Center City).
Work Schedule: Mon – Fri,  9a – 6p  with participation in On-call rotation.
Telecommuting: Some availability depending on the project schedule/assignment.
