Job description

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES develops and integrates products, engineering support, repair and maintenance services to provide value-added solutions to owners, engineers and contractors. We provide specialty contracting services through our contracting companies, and state-of-the-art proprietary products and engineering support services through our technologies company. With over 2,500 employees working from locations nationwide and in select international markets, we serve the Commercial, Public, Transportation Industrial, and Power markets to tackle the toughest construction challenges. STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is the in-house engineering business line of Structural Group.
We are currently recruiting for a Cathodic Protection Technician to join our Corrosion Solutions team to provide technical support for our cathodic protection projects installed at various projects in civil infrastructure, industrial and energy facilities. This Cathodic protection Technician will be part of our STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES team delivering state of the art proprietary products and engineering support services and will collaborate with our specialty contracting services to tackle the toughest construction challenges and meet the needs of our valued customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Perform the required inspection, layout and testing on various cathodic protection system installations.
• Manage QA/QC program for project and required paperwork.
• Assist in problem solving issues as they arise on the project
• Work with the construction team to help meet production schedules.
Successful candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this position:
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in the field performing NACE cathodic and corrosion protection installation and inspection work
• Read and comprehend shop drawings
• NACE CP 2 Cathodic Protection Technician certification is a plus
• Installation of Cathodic protection systems on concrete structures is a plus
• Concrete repair experience a plus
• Condition assessment experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and be trained on installing new Cathodic Protection and Corrosion Protection systems
Travel Expectation:
• This position will require significant travel (approximately 80%) throughout the US. Some business needs will require this position travel for a week or more at a time. Although the position will be tied to our Corporate STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES office, the position will primarily work out of one of our nationwide and international branches.
