Job description

ABOUT US

Stio® is an omni-channel mountain brand that designs, develops and sells beautiful, functional, and innovative apparel, footwear and other accessories infused with the soul of the mountain lifestyle. With headquarters in Jackson, Wyoming, Stio draws inspiration from the surrounding Teton Range and offers product via Stio.com, catalog, B2B and its Mountain Studio® retail locations.

We live and love mountain life, and as such see ourselves as caretakers of the resources that provide it. We are proud partners of Protect Our Winters and the Conservation Alliance among many other organizations. We have a strong preferred materials platform, use Bluesign® approved textiles wherever possible, audit our supply chains for best practices, and operate our workplaces responsibly.

We think that outside is the best side and that you can’t improve on nature. It’s good for mind, body and soul, and it’s our responsibility to help enable access for all people, regardless of race, gender, beliefs, background or ability. We strive for inclusion at Stio and in our local and national communities.

YOUR ROLE

At Stio, we're on a mission to bring the soul of mountain life into everything we make. We're looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our Creative team and help bring that spirit to life across every touchpoint, from catalog and direct mail to digital campaigns, retail environments, and beyond. In this role, you'll balance high-volume, detail-oriented production with real opportunities for creative exploration, working within Stio's established brand direction while helping shape how it shows up at every turn.

Our ideal candidate thrives on collaboration, brings a sharp eye for detail to every project, and is confident sharing ideas and standing behind their work. They move comfortably between print and digital, handling a catalog layout, a retail display, and an email campaign with equal ease, and bring real energy and curiosity to the process, not just clean execution. This is a role for someone who loves the craft of design as much as the outdoors that inspire it.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute and adapt creative assets across all channels, including digital, retail, print, social, and email
  • Dream up and produce standout visuals for seasonal brand and product campaigns, bringing energy and fresh ideas within Stio's established creative direction
  • Get hands-on with catalog design and production, building real fluency and shared contribution in the craft
  • Elevate retail and wholesale spaces, including displays, signage, and point-of-sale materials, with design that makes Stio's mountain spirit tangible in the real world
  • Craft digital campaign assets, from email to social, that feel just as inspired as anything on the printed page
  • Hunt down and curate authentic mountain athlete and lifestyle imagery with a discerning eye, making sure every asset feels true to who Stio is
  • Champion brand guidelines while still finding room to experiment and push ideas forward
  • Maintain rigorous attention to detail and consistent production quality across every deliverable, preparing production-ready artwork that meets technical specs across digital, print, retail, and other workflows
  • Build genuine fluency in the "how it's made" side of print design, including prepress and production, growing that competence over time
  • Keep multiple projects moving in Asana, staying organized ahead of deadlines
  • Team up across Brand, Art, and E-Commerce to bring campaigns to life
  • Partner with the Senior Copywriter and Brand marketing to make sure every message and visual feels unified

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in graphic design or a related role, preferably at a lifestyle, outdoor, fashion, or sports brand (experience in print or catalog production is a plus)
  • Proficient and comfortable in both Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) and Figma; both are required for this role
  • Prepress competence: a solid understanding of print production fundamentals like color management and bleed, along with the technical fluency to get files production-ready across formats
  • Proven experience managing work through Asana or comparable project management tools; this is a highly weighted skill for this role
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask across a high volume of concurrent deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail: in print design, precision is not optional, and accuracy and polish are required at every stage
  • A keen eye for curating authentic mountain athlete and lifestyle imagery; strong understanding of apparel product marketing and how visual storytelling supports product sell-through
  • Comfortable presenting concepts and defending creative decisions in front of stakeholders, someone who can stand behind their creative choices, not just execute them
  • Welcomes feedback and critique with openness and positivity, recognizing that collective input is what makes the work best
  • A collaborative, positive, and proactive spirit, someone who brings ideas and energy to the table, not just polished output
  • A builder at heart, someone driven to strengthen the team's processes, workflows, and creative approach over time

THE FINE PRINT

  • Medical, Dental, Vision plans
  • Company-paid Long Term Disability
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • 401k with Match
  • Generous paid time off policies
  • Company Culture Committee
  • Gear test, perks, and more

We provide competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives and benefits. The base salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of the range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors including experience, skills, and qualifications.
