As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, your primary duties will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for clients facing mental health issues, substance abuse disorders, and intellectual disabilities.
• Engaging in case management by connecting clients with appropriate resources and advocating for their needs to facilitate recovery and well-being.
• Supervising and mentoring junior therapists and interns, ensuring they meet clinical standards and provide high-quality care.
• Participating in on-call rotations and after-hours services, providing emergency support and consultation as necessary.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance client care and align treatment strategies with organizational goals.
• Participating in trainings and workshops to meet agency standards and further develop your counseling skills.

Your work will involve engaging with a diverse range of clients from various backgrounds, encompassing different socioeconomic statuses, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. This role requires a genuine commitment to cultural sensitivity, allowing you to tailor your approach to meet each client’s unique needs and experiences. You will provide support to clients struggling with a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.

To succeed in this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling
• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong communication skills and a deep understanding of therapeutic techniques.

While not mandatory, the following experiences would enhance your application:

• Previous experience in a telehealth environment, demonstrating familiarity with digital communication platforms and virtual therapy methodologies.
• Experience working with populations experiencing dual diagnoses or complex psychosocial issues.
• Knowledge of community resources and support networks relevant to mental health services.
