Job description

About Rivian

Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.

As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Role Summary

This role will be a People Systems Solution Analyst, which includes system configuration,
enhancements, and deployment efforts, and the responsibilities below.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of People data across Workday by designing and
executing recurring audit programs. Build and maintain EIBs, custom reports, and
calculated fields that validate data at the point of entry and on a scheduled cadence.
  • Develop and deploy AI-driven data reconciliation processes that cross-reference
Workday records against authoritative sources, auto-classify exceptions by severity, and
route them to the appropriate analyst or business owner for resolution.
  • Conduct testing, documentation, and validation of new People system functionalities and
configurations to ensure optimal performance, data accuracy, and compliance with
    organizational requirements
  • Lead end-to-end testing, documentation, and validation of new Workday functionalities,
business process configurations, and semi-annual release updates, ensuring
performance, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Design AI-augmented regression testing frameworks that auto-generate test scenarios
from business process definitions, execute validation scripts, and produce pass/fail
dashboards; accelerating release readiness and minimizing manual QA effort.
  • Evaluate and pilot emerging Workday AI features (e.g., Workday Illuminate, ML-based
recommendations) and assess their fit with organizational requirements, data privacy
    standards, and change-management readiness.
  • Maintain system process documentation, including business process guides, user
manuals, and training materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Employee Experience, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition,
and Talent Development teams to translate strategic priorities into Workday
configuration, reporting, and workflow solutions that scale.
  • Continuously analyze the People Systems landscape; Workday modules, adjacent
platforms, and integration touchpoints to identify optimization opportunities, reduce
technical debt, and recommend enhancements that drive measurable efficiency gains.
  • Lead cross-functional special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by People
leadership; scoping requirements, managing stakeholder communication, and delivering
    on time.
  • Bring an automation-first mindset to every initiative: identify where agentic workflows, AI
co-pilots, or intelligent routing can replace repetitive manual steps and free the People
team to focus on high-judgment, human-centric work.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive
employee information, HRIS data, and AI-generated insights, ensuring compliance with
data-privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal security policies.

Qualifications
  • 5-6 years of HRIS or People Operations experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow, JIRA.
  • Must have experience utilizing an HRIS system, Workday preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Able to interact and communicate effectively with employees, vendors, contractors in a
    professional manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
