Job description

HVAC Controls & BAS Technician → Instructor
Indianapolis, IN | Monday-Friday | Minimal Travel
You've built systems. Solved problems. Commissioned equipment. Kept buildings running.
Now help develop the next generation of HVAC Controls professionals.
Lincoln Tech, in partnership with Johnson Controls, is seeking experienced HVAC Controls and Building Automation System (BAS) Technicians to deliver hands-on training that prepares students for real-world careers.
What You'll Do
  • Teach HVAC Controls and BAS fundamentals
  • Train students on DDC systems, controllers, sensors, wiring, and communications
  • Lead hands-on labs using industry equipment
  • Coach students through troubleshooting, startup, commissioning, and diagnostics
  • Share real-world field experience that helps students succeed

What You Bring
  • Experience with HVAC Controls, DDC, or Building Automation Systems
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings
  • Computer proficiency and comfort with technical software
  • Experience with installation, startup, commissioning, or service work

Preferred Experience
  • Johnson Controls Metasys
  • BACnet/IP Networks
  • Controller Programming & Configuration
  • Controller Setup & Commissioning Tools
  • Field Startup and Commissioning
