Job description

Position Summary:
  • Location: Turano Baking Co - Berwyn, IL
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed. 8 hour shift
  • Overview: Are you ready to join our team delivering fresh bread, rolls and European specialty breads? Turano Baking Company is a Chicago family owned and operated bakery dedicated to quality and service for over 55 years. We are looking for a career-minded and dedicated Route Salesperson to join our expanding team. Our team works independently maintaining and building their customer base by providing a great product and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Our team delivers to local restaurants, schools and venues daily. The Route Sales Team is scheduled for (5) day week (MO/TU/TH/FR/SA), with some exceptions possible. Our day starts between 4:00-6:00AM. As a Route Salesperson you will load, verify and deliver required items daily. Responsibilities include delivery, rotation and order assistance. Safe driving and safe lifting ability up to 50 lbs. is required. A professional and courteous attitude is a must!

Education & Experience:
  • Two to Three (2-3) years' foodservice sales experience.
  • Ability to work independently with strong planning, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong desire to succeed with a high sense of urgency.

Requirements:
  • Have a valid driver's license, with safe driving history. No special endorsement needed.
  • Legal Age: 21 years old+
  • No experience required, we are willing to train.
  • Clear background and drug screen checks
  • Self-motivation, organization skills and reliability
  • Meet the physical demands, capable of lifting 50lbs
  • Safety conscious work ethic
