Summer Intern Material Handler / Receiving

Summary/Objective

Forge Nano Inc, a fast-growing materials company with a focus on manufacturing nano-scale coating equipment across a wide range of markets, is seeking a Summer Intern Material Handler / Receiving reporting to the Materials & Receiving Manager. This position is responsible for supporting warehouse and inventory operations, including receiving shipments, organizing materials, maintaining inventory systems, kitting parts for production, and assisting with inventory accuracy. An ideal candidate emphasizes the Forge Nano culture of teamwork, collaboration, and proactive problem solving.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition
  • Store and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations
  • Create and maintain inventory locations within the ERP/MRP system
  • Kit materials and components for production and customer orders
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
  • Assist with material handling and logistics-related tasks as assigned
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills (email, data entry, spreadsheets)
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials as required

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
  • Knowledge of inventory control or cycle counting processes
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

Work is primarily conducted at our headquarters in Thornton, CO for order intake, with limited work conducted remotely. Forge Nano puts safety and employee environment first. Strict adherence to corporate and/or facility policies, rules and regulations in these areas is required. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on-site.

The employee will need to be able to sort small parts and boxed items and will interface with assembly technicians regularly. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Lifting of containers upwards of 50 lbs. will be required periodically.

Compensation & Internship Details

  • Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour
  • Schedule: 3040 hours per week
  • Duration: June 3, 2026 through August 2026
  • Location: Thornton, CO

This is a temporary, paid internship and is not benefits-eligible.

In accordance with Colorado law, the compensation range for this position is listed above. Final compensation is determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and internal equity.

This internship provides hands-on experience in inventory control, receiving, warehouse operations, and manufacturing supply chain processes within a fast-paced production environment
