Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown position in Tennessee, requiring AHA BLS and ACLS certifications and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Details
  • 23-bed Cardiac Stepdown/Intermediate Care Unit
  • Patient population consists of cardiac diagnoses, including sheath management and external pacemaker care
  • Patients range from young adults through late adults (ages 18–60+)
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1 based on patient acuity
  • Variable staffing grid includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns; RN assumes full responsibility for their patient team
  • Day shift: 06:45–19:15
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active RN license in Tennessee (TN state license or Compact RN license with TN as state of residence)
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
  • Cardiac stepdown or intermediate care experience required
  • Must successfully complete a proctored cardiac rhythm test
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address (no international addresses)
  • Two professional references required for consideration
  • Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
  • Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Provide cardiac nursing care to intermediate-level patients, including those requiring sheath management and external pacemaker monitoring
  • Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible only at a reduced pay rate — contact your recruiter for details
