Job description

SUMMARY The Program Coordinator works under the general supervision and reports directly to the Program Manager of the Workforce Development Department. The Workforce Development Department provides multiple training programs for unemployed/underemployed youth and adults as career pipelines into Brown University Health's workforce. The Program Coordinator plays a key role in the design and execution of Workforce Development programs, aiding the Program Manager in development, case management, networking, budget maintenance, and work readiness training.

Manage and oversee program(s) implementation and completion, including participant recruitment, selection, onboarding, participant progress, and graduation ceremonies Create productive partnerships with industry leaders, Brown University Health administrative and clinical leadership teams, and community-based organizations Develop relationships with the Human Resources Talent Acquisition team to maintain training to employment pathways for program participants Present weekly info sessions while recruiting interested participants and community partners Recruit, interview, and ensure onboarding is completed for those accepted into a program Work closely with the nursing team to set up timelines for clearances and work with the assigned RN to ensure students are medically cleared Build work readiness curriculum for each cohort and facilitate as needed Meet with students for scheduled check-ins weekly or biweekly to address barriers and deliver feedback Build and maintain a network of resource providers such as state agencies, food banks, homeless shelters, etc. Oversee, develop, and continually monitor program budget and expenses Work closely with admin to ensure program invoicing is accurate before submitting for payment Work with the Department of Labor and Training and other grant entities to manage existing funding and reporting Work closely with academic partners involved in each program and meet with them on a regular cadence while a cohort is in session to ensure expectations are being met Major focus on tracking and maintaining program data, as well as translating data to communicate department accomplishments and milestones Provide real-time feedback to cohort participants as needed and create and participate in corrective action conversations and program separations as needed with the support of the manager or senior program coordinator Provide day-to-day case management to program participants while programs are running Work closely with internal leadership to set up internship placements for each cohort Participate in Workforce Development/TA marketing events Collaborate with various departments throughout the Brown University Health affiliate system Participate as a full member of the Human Resources Talent Acquisition team EDUCATION Bachelor's degree required. EXPERIENCE Program/Project Coordinator experience preferred but not required Previous experience in administrative and/or clinical settings Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to engage with a broad range of people Strong organizational and time management skills, with strict attention to detail Ability to function independently with a high degree of flexibility Ability to collect, analyze, and present data Possesses a strong work ethic and is a self-starter Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY None.
