Our Fayetteville, AR location is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to provide technical design expertise toward the development of new products, fixtures, tooling, and special machinery that will result in increasing productivity, improving reliability, or enhancing product quality. The Design Engineer is responsible for generating solid models for manufacturing tooling and fixtures along with detailed dimensioned drawings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, equipment selection, tooling design principles, and production optimization (e.g., lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, APQP/PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA).
  • Use strong analytical approach to problem-solving creating effective solutions to manufacturing challenges ensuring functionality and sustainability.
  • Experience with equipment commissioning, vendor management for tooling procurement/fabrication, and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Be resilient, willingness to "roll up sleeves and do what needs to get done" to consistently deliver results.
  • Development and testing functionality of prototypes for custom equipment and fixture designs.
  • Cross-functional capability of working with shop floor personnel, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, and sales teams.

  • Possess an Engineering Degree from an accredited university, Mechanical degree highly preferred, (PMP) certification, transcripts may be requested
  • 5+ years of hands-on relevant design engineering experience, required
  • Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and material science.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex engineering challenges, such as troubleshooting tool failure, or improving manufacturing efficiency.
  • Prior experience in tooling design, fixture design, automation, and machinery development in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Strong familiarity with machinery's handbook demonstrating industry standard basic and advanced design principles.
  • Deep understanding of industry-specific processes including plastic injection molding, metal fabrication, stamping, grinding, machining, welding, and additive manufacturing.
  • Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD software is mandatory including system administration.
