Job description

Momentum is hiring Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to administer, conduct, evaluate, and supervise the implementation of behavioral assessment. As the BCBA, you will develop individualized goals and objectives for home, community, and center-based programs.

BCBA Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conducts initial assessments, reassessments, and writes progress reports
  • Develops & monitors individualized treatment plans and behavior support plans
  • Meets requirements, to provide supervision to behavior analyst interns, Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) and Behavior Technicians.
  • Supervises and trains RBT/BT on the proper implementation of reinforcement, proactive and preventive behavior programs and plans, data collection systems and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Provides regular support, instruction, and feedback to families and caregivers with regard to managing challenging behaviors and teaching replacement behaviors through the principles of ABA.
  • Conducts Functional Assessments and Functional Analysis of all problem behaviors when needed and clinically warranted.
  • Develops and monitors individual behavior management protocols and behavior intervention plans for children
  • Ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented such that quantifiable behavioral data is collected at regular intervals to allow for the continual evaluation of behavior plans and the achievement of individual goals and objectives.
  • Ensures proper billing entry in Central Reach in a timely manner, as required.
  • Maintains billable caseload of an average of 25 hours/week for full time BCBA, part time BCBA billable caseload of up to an average of 15 hours weekly. Documents billable hours, as required.
  • Develops written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers, and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner, as requested.
  • Provides supervision and completes documentation of supervision activities of behavior analyst interns that meet the requirements by the BACB.
  • Maintains availability to respond to the needs of the persons supported, providing consultation and on-site assistance to behavior crisis situations.
  • Maintains any required training to include any necessary crisis management procedures in the behavior plans, as needed.

BCBA Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Human Services or related major, required
  • BCBA and licensed, if required by the state
  • Maintain all required certifications as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board for BCBAs, required
  • Strong knowledge and deep understanding of the science of behavior analysis and behavior analytic therapies; experience delivering these services
  • Must be proficient with functional assessment development, program/goal development, behavior reduction and skills acquisition procedures, and staff training
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills, be highly organized with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a professional manner with other departments within the facility and with community representatives
  • Positive attitude with flexibility to meet the needs and demands of the department
  • Ability to reorganize workload and direct staff to assure completion of all client care and program goals
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
  • Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, health screening, TB screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Valid and current proof of legal right to drive; required
