Summary

The New York office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for a Financial Data Analyst Intern to support the Finance & Accounting Team. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,300 lawyers located in 16 offices in six countries. 

The Financial Data Analyst Intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in a law firm environment. The Intern will support the finance team in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting financial data to support business decisions and strategic planning. The ideal candidate should have strong computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be willing to commit at least four days in office for a yearlong internship.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with compiling financial information to prepare journal entries
  • Assist with Foreign operations accounting
  • Account reconciliation preparation and analysis
  • Assist with Fixed Asset accounting
  • Exposure to ad-hoc reporting tools (Excel, Access, Crystal Reports)
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Student pursuing accountant or finance degree with strong academic record
  • Must be entering Junior or Senior year
  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, Microsoft 
  • A detailed oriented, critical thinker with strong analytic skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills 
  • Work effectively as an individual or within groups
  • Must be a team player and self-starter
