Job description

At Novocure, every role contributes to extending the lives of people living with cancer. As our new Clinical Trial Physician, Oncology, you'll play a key part in this mission.

As a key member of our multi-disciplinary oncology team, you will serve as a medical expert supporting Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) Therapy clinical programs. Depending on experience and level, you will either lead a clinical study or a broader clinical program and a team of physicians, driving medical strategy, execution excellence, and cross-functional collaboration across our global organization.

You will work closely with R&D, global clinical operations, regulatory, and commercial partners to advance tumor-based programs from protocol development through submission readiness, ensuring scientific rigor, audit preparedness, and patient-focused impact.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a medical leader within Clinical Development, you will:

  • Serve as the medical expert and key technical contributor for a tumor-based clinical study or program evaluating the safety and efficacy of TTFields delivered concomitantly with standard therapy in patients with cancer
  • Drive clinical development strategy including protocol authoring, regulatory and ethics committee submissions, study initiation, investigator communication, safety and medical monitoring, data screening and analysis, and publication initiatives
  • Author and oversee key clinical documents including study protocols and Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), ensuring submission readiness and inspection/audit preparedness
  • Establish and lead physician teams and key opinion leader relationships to support study execution and overall medical strategy
  • Partner cross-functionally with matrix teams, including R&D, Innovation, regulatory, and commercial stakeholders, to solve complex problems and move programs forward with a strong business and patient perspective
  • Ensure strict compliance with medical and ethical standards at Novocure
  • Lead and develop a group of medical professionals, providing strategic direction across a clinical program and driving alignment across global stakeholders
  • Collaborate across functions to execute a clinical study while contributing to the broader medical strategy

ABOUT YOU

Minimum Requirement:

  • Medical Degree
  • At least 5 years of clinical research experience working within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies (Director level)
  • At least 10 years of clinical research experience working within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device companies (Senior Director level)
  • Demonstrated experience leading global clinical trials or overseeing international clinical study programs across multiple regions
  • Previous experience leading physician teams and managing direct reports (Senior Director level)
  • Strong understanding of the clinical development process, including matrix multidisciplinary teams, regulatory submissions, and data analysis
  • Sound understanding in oncology clinical research, with tumor-based program experience
  • Hands-on experience authoring clinical protocols and Clinical Study Reports (CSRs) as well as preparing submissions and ensuring inspection and audit readiness

These additional qualifications are preferred:

  • Biopharmaceutical or medical device industry experience
  • Clinical oncology experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to move initiatives forward in a growing, mid-sized global organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and global team environment
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment

WHAT WE OFFER

For US Applicants: This pay range which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting is $250,000-280,000 USD. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant in addition to a full range of benefits. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
