Leading Service Company in Parsippany NJ is hiring a Tax Director! (120K-140K Range)

Job Description

Responsible for managing the organization's tax strategy and policy. Plans, develops, and implements international, federal, and state tax strategies to reduce tax liability and optimize cash flow. Prepares the company's tax provision and evaluates current and deferred taxes on a monthly basis.  Oversee the proper preparation of tax returns and reports.  Remain current on all tax laws and accounting rules that may impact the organization. Work closely with other executives to address tax needs. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

         Prepares monthly provision and current and deferred true-ups for I/S, B/S and CFS's

        Directs and if  necessary, prepares tax returns

        Maintains organization tax records

        Manages the filings for tax refunds and assures that inquiries from government agencies regarding filings, compliance, and other claims are addressed.

        Conducts in-depth research and recommends options and present proposals to lessen tax liability through the use of laws and regulations.

        Manages any tax audits.


Qualifications

Required Skills:

Prior Big 4 Tax Experience or large regional CPA Firm exp. is Required.

CPA license

BS in Accounting, MBA preferred

        Strong communication skills

        Ability to manage staff

        Detail oriented

        Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

KNOWLEDGE:

        Knowledge of accounting rules and procedures

        Knowledge of general ledger systems

        Ability to maintain accurate records in accounting database
