Job description

TTI, Inc. seeks a BI Developer in Fort Worth, TX.
Duties:
• Develop and implement efficient and accurate data ETL processes.
• Design static and dynamic Business Insight solutions using Microsoft BI tools.
• Serve as the design lead for BI development projects by interacting with management, while coordinating and obtaining the approval from senior management.
• Interfaces and verifies with various business stakeholders and data scientists that the static and dynamic BI views meet and support the business needs that these were created to fulfill.
• Provides technical support for all BI views by troubleshooting and resolving any issues with a sense of urgency.
• Write ad-hoc queries and reports to provide business insights into the questions posed by senior leadership within and across business units.
• Analyze and support the simplification of the current corporate and departmental reporting.
• Assist in expansion and implementation of big-data NoSQL database to serve as a data lake to complement the existing Enterprise Data Warehouse. Work with members of the BI team and identified citizen data scientists to proliferate the querying of NoSQL database.
• Continually increases technical knowledge and proactively applies knowledge by keeping abreast of changes in technology (e.g. staying up-to-date on BI technology trends such as data lakes & NoSQL, taking technology related classes, etc.) and by recommending technical solution changes if appropriate.
• Understand and communicate business use of data to DBAs. Assist in layout and design of data in dimensional models to be used in data marts/data warehouse.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, IT, or related (or its equivalent) and 2 years of experience in related occupations.
Requires 2 years of experience in the following:
• Working with relational databases, schemas, dimensional modeling, and data analysis techniques
Requires 1 year of experience in the following:
• Report writing tools such as SSRS or Power BI Paginated Reports
• MS SQL querying, specifically SELECT queries and stored procedures
• Dimensional modeling concepts
• NoSQL querying and development
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Business Analytics, IT, or related (or its equivalent).
Requires knowledge of the following skills which can be obtained through work experience, course credit, and/or internships:
• Working with relational databases, schemas, dimensional modeling, and data analysis techniques
• Report writing tools such as SSRS or Power BI Paginated Reports
• MS SQL querying, specifically SELECT queries and stored procedures
• Dimensional modeling concepts
• NoSQL querying and development
