The Recovery-Plus Family & Youth Mental Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote role. This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible and efficient work-life balance. Our telehealth setting utilizes state-of-the-art technology to facilitate seamless interactions between counselors and their clients. Counselors in this role can manage their schedules, with the ability to choose hours that align with their personal and professional lives while maintaining a full-time workload. The typical schedule involves weekdays with occasional weekend availability as needed.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations for children and families, assessing their needs and developing appropriate intervention strategies.
• Engage in crisis intervention procedures, ensuring that immediate and effective support is provided to clients experiencing acute mental health challenges.
• Coordinate care with various community partners and institutional programs, including the Department of Corrections, to facilitate necessary resources for patients.
• Lead group therapy sessions on mental health observation units or as needed, employing evidence-based methodologies to foster group dynamics and therapeutic growth.
• Document all clinical interactions and maintain detailed records as per organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in weekly supervision with the Clinical Supervisor to uphold professional development and ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
• Contribute to collaborative case conferences, actively discussing treatment plans and exploring strategies for patient improvement.
• May conduct psychological testing when assigned, providing further insight into patient needs and treatment progress.
• Assist in the mentorship of social work interns or student volunteers, enhancing their learning experience through hands-on guidance.

The Mental Health Counselor will work primarily with youth and families facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping their journey toward recovery, emphasizing a strengths-based approach that empowers patients and their families to engage actively in the therapeutic process.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
• Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated commitment to continual professional development and understanding of current mental health practices.

Experience in telehealth or remote counseling is highly desirable, though not mandatory. Familiarity with evidence-based practices for youth and family counseling, as well as an understanding of systemic and ecological perspectives, will be considered advantageous. Experience leading group therapy sessions and coordinating with community services is also preferred.

We offer a competitive compensation package with a salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
