Geotab is seeking an Insights & Integrations Consultancy Intern, under the guidance of experienced team members, you will learn how to adapt and showcase Geotab solutions for partners and end-users by identifying and understanding customer needs. What you'll do:

As an Intern on the Insights & Integrations Consultancy team, you will gain hands-on experience supporting strategic initiatives that help expand and retain Geotab's portfolio. This role provides an opportunity to assist in the development and customization of solutions using Geotab's open platform, helping partners address solutioning challenges. You will work alongside integration engineers to explore customer requirements, contribute to technical problem-solving, and gain insight into how Geotab enables business growth for its partners and customers.

Throughout the internship, you will collaborate with key Geotab stakeholders, including Account/Engagement Managers, the Signature Accounts Team, Product Management, and Solutions Engineering Teams. By participating in real-world projects and technical discussions, you will develop a deeper understanding of industry verticals and how Geotab's ecosystem is leveraged to drive success.

How you'll make an impact:
  • Develop foundational knowledge of the Geotab ecosystem by assisting team members in researching, documenting, and understanding Geotab's technology, products, and solutions.
  • Support partners and end-users by helping to analyze technical challenges and exploring potential solutions under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Participate in integration projects in a learning capacity, assisting with solution development, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure successful implementation and deployment.
  • Learn how to assess business challenges faced by partners and customers, contributing insights and alternative approaches where possible.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing partner and customer feedback, contributing to continuous improvement efforts and collaboration with Product Management teams.
  • Help create and refine data-driven dashboards, reports, and documentation to support internal teams and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Support Geotab's partner and customer success initiatives by providing research, technical documentation, and insights to enhance adoption of Geotab solutions.
  • May assist in developing proof-of-concept solutions by supporting testing and validation efforts in controlled environments.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and market demands by participating in training sessions and industry research projects.
  • Help maintain accurate records of customer interactions, integration solutions, and project progress, supporting team efficiency and knowledge retention.
  • Observe and assist in the delivery of technical presentations and demonstrations, learning how to communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Gain exposure to technical sales support by assisting with inquiries, documentation, and technical evaluations under supervision.
  • Learn and contribute to the design of customized solutions based on customer needs, assisting in the creation of solution proposals, demonstrations, and prototypes.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a relevant technical field, such as software engineering, data science, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of telematics, IoT, APIs, or related technologies; familiarity with hardware integrations is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn how to assess technical challenges and explore potential solutions.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting cross-functional teams such as sales, product development, and customer support.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with an eagerness to understand client needs and contribute to solution development.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in emerging technologies and a desire to develop skills in integration, automation, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Python for data analysis or automation is a plus.
  • Exposure to programming languages such as SQL, Java, or C#, and a basic understanding of API integrations is desirable.
