Job Summary

The Software Engineer will be part of a newly formed engineering team responsible for building an exciting new product from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the foundation of a next-generation SaaS platform that will support our future growth and innovation. Working alongside experienced engineers, product managers, and designers, this individual will contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of new features while gaining exposure to modern technologies, cloud-native architectures, and agile development practices. The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and excited about solving complex problems in a fast-paced startup-like environment within an established organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to help define and build a new software product from the ground up.
  • Develop, test, and maintain application features and services that support the product vision and customer needs.
  • Participate in technical discussions, solution design sessions, and sprint planning activities.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering standards and best practices.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to building scalable and reliable cloud-based applications and services.
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to continuously improve technical skills and code quality.
  • Support the development and maintenance of automated testing, deployment, and monitoring solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to validate requirements and deliver high-quality product experiences.
  • Help create and maintain technical documentation, including design decisions, workflows, and implementation details.
  • Learn and apply modern software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute ideas that improve the product, development processes, and customer experience.
  • Embrace an ownership mindset and contribute to establishing engineering practices and team culture as the organization grows.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • 0-3 years of software development experience, including internships, co-ops, academic projects, personal projects, or full-time professional experience.
  • Experience with or exposure to one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of fundamental software engineering concepts, object-oriented design, and data structures.
  • Familiarity with web application development principles and modern development frameworks.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
  • Experience using source control tools such as Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an evolving environment where processes, tools, and product requirements are continuously developing.
  • Passion for building new products and contributing to a highly collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship, co-op, open-source, academic, or personal project experience developing software applications.
