As an Embedded Software Engineer I here at Honeywell Aerospace Flight Management System (FMS) team, where we design, develop, and integrate highly complex systems for the Anthem Next Generation Avionics program, you will work in a fast paced, collaborative development environment alongside experienced software and systems engineers. You will contribute to satisfying technical requirements, supporting functional load deliveries, and ensuring full compliance with stringent certification standards. You will have the opportunity to impact the advancement of cutting-edge avionics technologies that improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of aircraft systems, helping to shape the future of aerospace innovation.
You will report directly to our Sr Software Engr Manager out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. Note: For the first 90 days, New Hires must be prepared to work 100% onsite M-F.

  • Design, develop, and maintain core Flight Management software supporting next-generation avionics systems.
  • Implement high-quality software solutions that meet performance, security, and reliability requirements.
  • Participate in requirements and code reviews, contributing ideas that improve software quality and development practices.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, test, and certification teams to deliver integrated software solutions.
  • Support software integration, testing, and debugging in laboratory environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects across the development and integration lifecycle

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Academic, internship, project or professional experience in software development
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++
