Job description

General Manager

We are looking for a General Manager to join our team. As General Manager, you are the driving force behind your dealership's success. You'll lead every department — Sales, Service, Parts, and Office — ensuring each one operates at peak profitability while delivering an outstanding ownership experience to every customer. This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who thrives on results and knows how to build winning teams.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and motivate all department managers; conduct formal performance evaluations at regularly scheduled intervals.
  • Lead daily operations by monitoring key metrics (DOC), setting monthly and annual goals with department heads, and holding regular management meetings.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by implementing programs that maintain CSI scores at or above franchise standards; personally resolve escalated customer and associate complaints.
  • Oversee financial health by reviewing weekly reports, ensuring accurate and timely monthly financial statement submissions, and approving purchase orders and compensation plans.
  • Partner with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel to develop and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Lead dealership marketing and merchandising strategy, including advertising programs and promotional planning.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are clearly communicated, understood, and followed across every department.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of dealership management experience, or equivalent combination of leadership experience in the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of driving profitability across multiple departments.
  • Strong financial acumen — ability to read and act on financial statements, forecasts, and DOC reports.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Benefits

  • Affordable Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.
  • Competitive 401(k): Build your future with our retirement savings plan.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Includes paid holidays and vacation after 90 days of full-time employment.
  • Paid Maternity & Paternity Leave: Support for new mothers and fathers.
  • Paylocity "Pay On Demand": Access your earnings before payday (up to $2,000).
  • Employee Discounts: Discounts on vehicle servicing and new car purchases.
  • Continuous Training & Mentorship: Grow professionally and advance your career within our group.
  • Employee Tenure & Recognition Program: We celebrate milestones and contributions.
  • Fun Company Events: Awesome experiences for employees and their families!
