What you will enjoy doing*
  • In this role you will support industrial automation systems, including Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), robotics, and servo controls
  • Troubleshoot controls and electrical issues to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Assist with commissioning, validation, and startup of new or upgraded manufacturing equipment
  • Support automation projects, controls upgrades, and equipment integration initiatives
  • Analyze production performance and downtime data to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve production challenges
  • Maintain control system documentation, programming updates, and standard operating procedures
  • Learn and apply Lean Production principles such as waste reduction, standardized work, and continuous improvement

What makes you great
  • You will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related technical discipline required
  • 0-3 years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or manufacturing environments (internships/co-ops acceptable)
  • Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) systems, industrial controls, or automation technologies
  • Exposure to Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms, Studio 5000, or similar tools preferred
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, instrumentation, and industrial communication networks is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a hands-on manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and communicate effectively across functions
  • Basic understanding of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement concepts preferred
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to develop technical and professional skills
  • Fundamental understanding of robotics with ABB Robotics Systems experience preferred
