Job description

Who we are:
Tinuiti is the largest independent full-funnel marketing agency in the U.S. across the media that matters most, with $4 billion in digital media under management and more than 1,200 employees. Built for marketers who demand growth and accountability, Tinuiti unites media and measurement under one roof to eliminate waste-the biggest growth killer of all-and scale what works. Its proprietary technology, Bliss Point by Tinuiti, reveals the truth around growth and waste, and how to capitalize on it. With expert teams across Commerce, Search, Social, TV & Audio, and more, Tinuiti delivers measurable results with brutal simplicity: Love Growth. Hate Waste.
We support 100% remote work for this role!
We'd love to hear from you if:
Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box. So if you think you qualify, but don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch.
As Director, TV, Video, Audio & Display (TVAD), you will lead a portfolio of clients as the senior, day-to-day owner of the relationship and growth agenda. You will align your team's recommendations with client goals, set expectations, and build trust with senior stakeholders by proactively creating high-value moments to meet, present, and influence decisions. You'll partner with internal leaders to resolve escalations quickly, connect TVAD to Search, Social, Commerce/Retail Media, and Creative, and translate platform, competitive, and Bliss Point TVAD insights into executive-ready actions. You also own the financial health of your book: margin, utilization/capacity, and forecast accuracy, in partnership with the Client or Pod Leader and Finance. We align scope and expectations to our job architecture for consistency and transparent progression.
Key responsibilities
Client-Centric
  • Own senior-stakeholder relationships and the client growth agenda; align full-funnel TVAD plans (CTV/OTT, online video, digital audio/podcasts, programmatic display) to business goals; secure decisions on options and trade-offs.
  • Lead onboarding, transitions, escalations, and expansion; support new business with clear narratives tied to measurable impact.

Product-Led
  • Orchestrate optimization across partners/DSPs (goal strategies, pacing, frequency/overlap control, quality/brand-safety/verification); pilot safely, measure, and scale.
  • Embed Bliss Point insights (Always-On Incrementality, Brand/Creative/Customer Insights) into planning and allocation; close feedback loops with Product and Analytics to improve tools and models.

Data & Measurement-Driven
  • Install strong, simple measurement habits: growth-first innovation with success thresholds and read cadence (geo/lift/holdout where feasible; otherwise sound A/B or time-series); forecast expected impact and risk.
  • Help ensure data/ops health through close collaboration with the Media Investment team, and require forecast-vs-actual narratives in executive decisions.

The Tinuiti Way
  • Connect the dots across channels for clients: explain how TVAD complements Search, Social, Commerce/Retail Media, CRM, TV/Audio, and Creative; propose integrated plans and a straightforward measurement approach to prove combined lift; codify reusable playbooks.

Owner Mindset
  • Own the business like it's yours: make and stand behind decisions that maximize client outcomes (growth, margin, LTV) within agreed guardrails; surface trade-offs with clear thresholds/tolerances; keep a simple decision log tied to Rocks/KPIs.
  • Financial stewardship with partners: forecast impact, track plan vs. actuals, and course-correct quickly with Client Lead/Finance/Analytics; protect margin/utilization by prioritizing high-value work and cutting busywork.
  • Love Growth: spot and de-risk larger opportunities (e.g., higher-quality CTV inventory, new audience/data partners, refreshed creative lengths) with small, safe pilots and clear thresholds-then scale and document the playbook.
  • Hate Waste: remove recurring waste at the root (e.g., unmanaged frequency, viewability/IVT issues, overlapping buys, tagging gaps); set simple standards that prevent backslide and shorten time-to-resolution.

People Leader
  • Build and lead a high-performing team: clear Rocks/KPIs, weekly 1:1s, timely feedback, capability development, and a succession bench; hire and onboard well.
  • Install governance (standards, scorecards, QA cadence) that sustains quality and consistency across teams; coach managers to lead the system.

Ways of working and values
  • Greatness attracts Greatness: Set clear craft and leadership standards, coach managers and senior ICs, and keep learning (including responsible use of new tools/AI).
  • Clients grow, we grow: Tie decisions to business outcomes, connect TVAD with other channels in simple, integrated plans, and set expectations early with clear trade-offs and timelines.
  • Culture of ownership: Own results (growth and margin), pilot and scale what works, eliminate recurring waste at the root, and follow through quickly on escalations and commitments.

Professional & Technical Qualifications
  • Experience: 10+ years in TV/video/audio/display with proven results at scale across multiple partners (CTV/OTT/Linear, online video, digital audio/podcasts, programmatic display); management experience required.
  • Technical: Hands-on knowledge of DSP/ad platforms and ad-server workflows; frequency/overlap management; audience/data usage; quality/verification (viewability, IVT, brand safety); comfort coordinating with publishers/PMPs.
  • Measurement: incrementality/lift, powered A/B or time-series, forecasting; ability to connect media to revenue, CAC, LTV, incremental reach/attention; SQL familiarity a plus.
  • Cross-channel literacy: connect TVAD to Search, Social, Commerce/Retail Media, CRM, and Creative in simple, executive-ready narratives.
  • Financial acumen: margin/utilization management, capacity planning, reliable forecasting with Finance; staffing aligned to priorities.
  • Leadership presence: clear, concise storytelling; expectation setting; confident with senior clients and internal leaders.

KPIs
  • Client outcomes: growth in qualified reach/new households, revenue, and LTV; efficiency within guardrails (CPx/CAC/ROAS).
  • Innovation: steady flow of growth-focused innovations adopted (audience/data, inventory quality, format/creative, frequency/quality), with decisions and learnings recorded.
  • Product/AI: responsible rollout/adoption of optimization features and Bliss Point-guided allocations with proven, incremental impact.
  • Data/ops quality: high tag/event fidelity; strong attention/viewability; minimal IVT/brand-safety flags; fast time-to-resolution and prevention of repeat issues.
  • Financials: margin/utilization on target; staffing aligned to priorities; forecast accuracy within tolerance.
  • People outcomes: engagement/retention, capability growth, succession readiness, strong manager practices.
  • Integrated impact: measurable lift from cross-channel plans (Tinuiti Way).
