Where You Will Work:
The Pediatric Float Pool is a highly skilled team of nurses who provide care across the entire children's hospital, including the NICU, PICU, acute care, hematology/oncology, and pediatric emergency department. This team exemplifies adaptability, clinical excellence, and self-motivation-thriving in diverse care environments while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality. Members of the float pool demonstrate exceptional critical thinking and flexibility, seamlessly integrating into various units to support patient care needs. We're Looking For:
REQUIRED:
  • At least 1 year Peds experience
  • Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines

What You'll Do:
  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
