Registered Nurse

Full Time I First Shift (Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm)

Heart & Valve Clinic I Lexington, KY

$15,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals

The Heart Valve Clinic provides specialized evaluation, coordination, and management of patients with valvular heart disease. The clinic collaborates with cardiology and cardiothoracic teams to deliver timely, evidence-based care, support treatment planning, and enhance patient outcomes through coordinated, patient-centered services.

Description:

  • Provide direct patient care including vital signs, histories, injections, and assisting with exams and procedures
  • Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and obtain insurance authorizations
  • Perform waived laboratory testing and specimen handling
  • Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients as directed
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment cleanliness
  • Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Follow safety, infection control, and organizational policies

Requirements:

  • Associate degree.
  • Preferred minimum of 2-3 years' experience.
  • Current RN Licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college/university or an associate degree with a minimum of ten (10) years' experience required. In lieu of a bachelor's degree and less than ten years' experience, an associate degree in nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a bachelor's degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification isrequired.If not already certified, applicants must obtainBLS within30 daysof their hire date.
  • ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.
