Job description

If you have the desire to work with horses by caring for their needs so that they can do their job as therapeutic partners, then you have stop at the right job posting!!

We are a small horse facility on the east side of Tucson. We have openings for a responsible individual that wants to care for horses. The position involves feeding, turning out horses, and cleaning stalls. Other job responsibilities include minor landscaping around the ranch and minor repairs. The applicant must be able to freely lift 50lbs. The applicant must be able to work in the morning and evening heat. We offer equine therapy services, working with a wide variety of clients with behavioral challenges or those who have experienced trauma.

This position may lead to training to assist in the equine therapy sessions, as a horse handler or side walker. We provide specialized training to support the staff in each of the positions.

The applicant may be scheduled to feed mornings and/or evenings (split shift). The time of the feedings vary with the sunrise in the morning and sunset in the evening. The position may range from 15 to 25 hours a week or more.

Prior horse experience is beneficial. Dedication, responsibility and open-mindedness is a must. If you are interested, send a cover letter and a resume.
