Position Summary:

McLarty Associates isseekinga bright, resourceful individual for a paid internship/fellowship in the Washington, DC area to support ourMiddle East and North Africa practice.This position will also lend support to ourMcLarty Media practice.We are seeking an individual who can workpart-time (up to 20 hours/week) during the Fall semester.This position is expected to bein-personat our DC office.

Internship/graduate fellowship responsibilities generally include:

  • Conducting extensive research of public policy, international, and business issues;

  • Writing memos, compiling biographies, preparing presentations;

  • Monitoring regional news outlets;

  • Attending and reporting on speeches, panel discussions, and policy forums of interest to the firm and clients;

  • Assisting professional staff with general office and administrative support; and

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Ideal candidates for this position possess an understanding of Middle East and North Africa trends, politics, and economics and an interest in business and government relations. Specifically, applicants must have a robust background, demonstrated interest, and/or experience living or studying in the Gulf region. Proficiency in Arabic (reading, writing, speaking) is required.
